Back to 2006
That was my first cloud photo published on The Cloud Appreciation Society (CAS) website. Although it was taken by a regular film camera in 2006 , 1 years before I buy my first digital camera Nikon D50. The beauty of the cloud shapes and it's shadows was interested by Gavin Pretor-Pinney,the (CAS) founder and head and he put it between other facinating photos.
Gavin was very generous to writing these wonderful words about me on (Member Highlights) of (CAS) website:
"Azhy Chato Hasan is Cloud Appreciation Society Member 1687. He was our first member in Iraq and he lives in Arbil City, in the northern region of Kurdistan. Azhy joined the society in January 2006 but his certificate did not arrive until the end of July. This was not because we were behind on our mailouts, but because he had to wait for the package to be brought over from the UK by a friend of a friend.
Azhy is head of the Amateur Astronomer’s Association of Kurdistan, of which he has made society founder Gavin Pretor-Pinney an honorary member. We are pleased that he is a member of The Cloud Appreciation Society since we fear that most astronomers hate the clouds."

Few years ago...internet showed me one of the most wonderful and greatest websites for the one of thwe most facinating societies for clouds and Cloudspotter's around this planet.

Cumulus Party
I am an amateur astronomer scince 1986, but also love clouds and I am so glad when I see them in the sky! but not with the rest of astronomers arond the world, most of them are not waiting to meeting with a cloud during an observation ngiht with a telescope!
I am also proud to be member No.1687 on The Cloud Appreciation Society in UK.
And now...It is very nice to starting my blog with these images
It was a great Cumulus clouds party here, over Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Erbil city between Feb.25 and March 4,2011.......ENJOY :)
